* The Iowa New Jobs Training Program assists businesses which are creating new positions or new jobs. If a company is expanding its operations or locating a new facility in the state of Iowa, the New Jobs Training Program can provide flexible funding to meet a variety of training needs. The assistance available ranges from highly specialized educational programs to basic skill training for new positions.
** The Iowa Jobs Training Program provides job training services to current employees of eligible businesses which are located in Iowa. Job training services are defined as any training needed to enhance the performance of a business' employees. Employees who receive training must be currently employed by the business and the business must pay Iowa withholding tax for them.
