Chet Culver, Governor of Iowa
- In January 2007, Courtney Maxwell Greene was appointed press secretary to Governor Chet Culver and Lt. Governor Patty Judge. However, she has also covered the caucuses as a working journalist. Courtney is a native Iowan who worked 15 years as a television reporter. She has a unique perspective, as she reported results of the 1996 Iowa Caucuses live for CSPAN (while working for WHO-TV) and helped tell candidates' stories to Iowa, the nation and the world.

Steffen Schmidt, University Professor of Political Science at Iowa State University

The host of "Dr. Politics," a weekly statewide political call-in show on National Public Radio affiliate WOI-AM, Schmidt is frequently asked to comment on presidential politics by the national media. The author of the country's most widely adopted introductory college textbook, "American Government and Politics Today," he is currently teaching "The Iowa Presidential Caucuses" on the history and future of the Iowa caucuses.
